A date with my hubby!

Last night thanks to my mother-in-law (she watched the children), my husband and I got to go on a date for the first time in about 5 months.
We went out to dinner (Friday's). It was wonderful, I had a steak and some broccoli with a salad and Chris ordered a burger with fries. Then, we headed over to Jordan Commons to see a movie. We were delayed a hour and a half before the movie started so we went to target to window shop and ended up by Matthew and Ashleigh backpacks.
At 6:40pm our movie started. We got a popcorn to share and a couple of waters. We ended up seeing "Harry Potter".
Since becoming parents plus providing a living for our family, date night is a very rare occasion. It felt great to be out with my husband without the children, and remember that we are a couple as well as parents. We were able to talk about different things especially what we want for our future and for our family.
I hope we can go out again soon, I missed going on dates with my husband. Thanks again Patrea for allowing a date to happen last night.

Day 3

I did really well today with my diet and exercise. I ate really well and stayed away from sweets. I worked out 1 hour on the treadmill burned 500 cals, walked 3.1 miles. I had a tough day emotionally, but I did not reach for comfort food.

Day 2

Today, I got off a very long graveyard. I worked 11 1/4 hours. I ended up sleeping until 3pm. I had felt bloated in the middle of the night and it got worse even after I got home. But this afternoon I took a previcid and I feel a whole lot better now. The graveyard shift was hard. Both my co-workers had bought candy and cookies to share. It was really tempting but I only had two cookies and that was it. I do feel proud of myself. I did however buy a multigrain rice quake to munch on.
Since I slept longer then I planned today and I wanted to spend some time with the kids and Chris before bedtime, I went with the family swimming, and did not get on the treadmill. I will definitely have to do that tomorrow.
I have not ate much, but for dinner I had a sirlon steak cooked on the bbq with no added salt or stake sauce, I eat brocolli that was steamed, and a 1/4 of rice with a tbsp of low sodium soy sauce. I also have drank since getting up about 32 oz of water.
Today was not the best of days with diet and exercise but tomorrow is a new day.

Day 1 part 2

So today, I worked out 100 minutes on the treadmill. I walked at a 3.5 mph and a 6 incline. I burned 830 calories and waled 7 miles. It was so hard to get on that treadmill today. I had taken a week off so it would have been easy taking today off, but I knew that to improve my health is to lose weight and one way to lose weight is so work out. I am proud of myself that I did it today. The doctor wants me to work out 150 minutes minum a week. I read in my PCOS book that it takes 30 minutes a day to maintain weight and 60-90 minutes a day to lose weight.
Also, for my diet, I did ok today. I started with 2 eggs with a little low sodium salt, 2 slices of light whole wheat bread with butter spray. For a morning snack I had a kiwi and a sf 100 cal jello pudding. For lunch, I eat 8 oz yogurt with 1 cup of bearnaked granola. I had a hand full of no salt nuts, but I did eat a cookie. I still have dinner and a graveyard to get through. Maybe my diet will be better tomorrow.

Day 1

I decided that I would like to have a separate blog to journal my pcos and the journey that I am taking with it. I would like this to be a support blog from my family and friends that can help encourge me when the going gets tough or when I am doind what I am suppose to be doing. These first few entry's I will explain what PCOS is and what I can do to control it and then there rest will be how I am going controlling it by diet, exercise, medication and weightloss.

THe article. that I am using is from WebMD.

I am learning that I can control my symptoms and have fewer cysts. After reading this article, I learned that the three children whom I should have not gotten pregnant with even with Clomid was suppose to be here. I am greatful that they are here. I hope in the next coming weeks that I can improve my health, and my weight.
Here comes major life changes!
